Vincenzo was a brilliant goalkeeper in his youth who could have been a professional and supported Burnley and Inter Milan all his life. He was interested in history and took any opportunity to visit significant places around the world. He was especially proud of his ancestral home of Racalmuto in Sicily. He worked as a much-loved ice cream man until opening an award-winning pizza takeaway, ‘Enzo’s’ in 1986. Over 30 years later, the orders still come in thick and fast due to his brilliant pizzas and insistence on making sure every customer felt welcome. Vincenzo was a kind, generous man who loved making people feel at home wherever he was. Vincenzo was a devoted family man who adored his wife, children and grandchildren, he was much loved in Burnley and is a huge loss to the town and on the day of his funeral his family, friends and customers lined the streets to pay their respects to him. He will forever be missed but his legacy lives on.
