A Personal Message
His career has been very colourful starting in the Army, then following a bike accident that rendered him unfit. He started his own business in flooring, went onto becoming a general builder and dormer converter. He married really young and had 4 children. He was with my Mum for 63 years, 59 years married.
He built his own home from scratch, starting with a small miners cottage and is now an executive 3 bedroomed house.
He was an avid Manchester United supporter and never missed a game on the TV. His other love was Poker and played in a group every Monday for many years.
A wonderful husband, Dad to 4 children, whom he adored, grand-father to 8 and great, great grandfather to 2. He sadly lost his eldest grandson whilst serving his country in Iraq at the tender age of 20. He never really came to terms with this loss.
He was possibly one of the kindest gentlemen you’d meet and everybody in the Ogmore Valley knew and loved him.
