Mum was one of eight children and being the second youngest. She came from rural Tipperary to England for work and to improve her prospects. Mum met my Dad Frank and they forged a good life together moving to various parts of Leeds. The last place they lived was Roundhay before they returned to Louth in Ireland for some nineteen years. Six years ago they decided they would return to England and settled back into life here residing in Kippax, near Leeds.
Mum was always known for being a hard worker and was well thought of wherever she worked. Her last position was at St Gemma’s Hospice at Moortown, Leeds.
Being Mum to four living children and Nan to six grandchildren, three girls and three boys. She was very proud of her family, the people they had become and their achievements through their own hard work and effort.
Mum had many successes in her life, learning to swim and getting her driving licence as an adult. As well as seeing her children, grandchildren attend university and obtain good positions enjoying their success.
Mum loved to go swimming. In her younger days, it was dancing.
Mum was very fond of animals in particular cats and dogs and loved to take care of them. She enjoyed taking their dogs for walks.
Mum loved going on holiday with Dad or family. She enjoyed travelling and visited many counties making friends where ever they went.
She was a good mum, wife, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many people.
