About William Henry
William Henry Anson was a true Cockney, born within the sound of Bow Bells. He lived there during World War Two and had many stories to tell. Although he was raised in London, and loved the city that was his place of birth, he spent most of his adult life in Dorset, specifically Wimborne and Ferndown. He was a master builder and worked hard throughout his life. He loved all living things and liked nothing better than to be out enjoying nature, forests, the seaside or Dorset’s rolling hills. He especially loved trees and birds and would love that a tree has been planted in his name – he will feel at home in the forest. We lost him to COVID in January.

A Personal Message
William was my Grandfather and is very much loved and missed by all his family: his partner, his sister, his three children, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even one great-great-grandchild. He was the head of our family and he leaves a huge space that he inhabited with his wise advice and many stories. We will miss him always.
