About Louise
Mum was a retired Social Worker and a qualified school teacher. A loving Great-Granny, Granny, Mum, Mother-in-Law and Sister. After taking early retirement, mum continued to support her local community, volunteering as an Adult Education Tutor, teaching literacy and numeracy, also supporting students for whom English was not their first language. Mum had such a caring and patient nature, and she loved to be able to help people.

A Personal Message
Mum was the kindest soul, who just lived for her family and was always happiest when we were all together. She enjoyed a good chat and would strike up conversations with complete strangers, endearing her to everyone who met her. She adored her 5 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandson, revelling in hearing all their news and latest escapades. She was smart, funny and had a great love for literature.
Her skill at writing poetry was legendary in our family, and no birthday went by without a wee personalised verse or two written in the birthday girl or boy’s card. She was also a fabulous cook, turning her hand to anything, and she made the best curries and pots of soup ever. Dinner time at Mum’s house was always an event and no one ever left the table hungry!
Mum leaves a massive void in our family and is greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
