Joyce was born in Islington and evacuated to Wales during the Second World War with her sister.
She worked at Surrey Police HQ for 25 years as an Audio Secretary and also in their social club as a “barmaid” for many years.
Joyce always had a smile on her face and was well loved, known as “Joycie”. Always very glamorous and immaculately dressed, never without her makeup on!
She loved music especially the “crooners” such as Englebert Humperdinck and Val Doonigan. Her favourite movies included anything with Barbra Streisand.
In 2016 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and moved into permanent residential care where she spent her twilight years happy and well looked after.

Share You Memories of Joyce
It’s been tremendously difficult losing a loved one during the pandemic, with only ten people allowed at the funeral and no wake to say a final farewell. You don’t feel you have closure so by being able to dedicate a memorial tree is a wonderful permanent tribute as a celebration of their life. Thank you
