Jonathan's Accomplishments
Jon passed away in March 2020 just as the UK went into national lockdown for the first time.
Due to lockdown restrictions we weren’t able to have a proper funeral or celebration of his life, but we know that so many people wanted to give him the send off he truly deserved.
We still hope that one day soon we will all be able to get together to celebrate our wonderful Dad.
A Personal Message
Jon is greatly missed by everyone who knew him, but particularly by his three daughters. He was the best Dad we could have wished for, and we have endless happy memories with him.
He was a lovely grandpa, and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with his two grandsons (as well as his love of chocolate ice cream)! He never got to meet his first granddaughter who was born just two months after he died, but we know he would have loved her, and we see so much of him in her.
His social life was non stop. He loved travelling, eating in good restaurants, quizzing, and going to the theatre and opera.
He had an amazing brain, and regularly quizzed alongside Chasers and Eggheads. He even reached the Mastermind semi-final a few years ago.
As a successful lawyer Jon was very well respected, but he was also modest, kind, generous and gentle. He was always there for all his friends and wider family.
Jon was a real foodie. He religiously bought the Good Food Guide every year and ticked each restaurant off as he went. Every occasion would involve an amazing meal.
Travelling the world and holidaying with friends and family brought great joy for Jon. He was a walking guidebook, who always knew the best places to go and all the history about wherever he went.
He lived his life to the full, and it is just devastating that it was cut short so quickly.
