My father was a dedicated family man. He was a wonderful husband to my mother (Emilia Vasquez), an amazing father to my sister (Emily Cartin) and I (Ivannia Cartin), and the absolute best grandfather to his four grandboys. He was our “papa”. He was caring, loving, hardworking, joyful and filled with life. The most important part of his life was us. He completely devoted his world to his family. He had just retired this year and was looking forward to enjoying his retirement with his 4 grandbabies (Justin 9, Evan 6, Joshy 5, Gavin 4).

My father was an amazing human being. He helped so many without ever asking for anything in return. He was brave and hardworking and always making sure that his family had everything they needed. He deserved the world. He deserved to live a beautiful long life. His entire family misses him. Our world is so incomplete now. Papa, we love you so much. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being such a great father. Thank you for teaching me so much. Thank you for loving us the way you did. I have missed you yesterday, I miss you today and I will miss you for the rest of my life. You’re forever in our hearts. Our beautiful guardian angel. God knew what he was doing when he choose you to be one of his angels. But don’t worry daddy, we will continue your legacy and provide your boys the beautiful life you always wanted for them.
