About Charlene
My mom was a giver all of her life. She was the oldest of 5 daughters and grew up in Northern New Mexico with her parents, Salomon and Theodora Struck. She took care of her younger sisters and started honing her amazing cooking skills since then. As life went on, she developed a debilitating illness that caused her to be unable to work and had to have multiple surgeries as a result. She then took on the role of caregiver to her parents. Later, she moved to Las Vegas to live with me and my family, as her lifelong dream of being a Nana came true. She was the best Nana to her three granddaughters! She was an awesome cook and took care of our entire household!

A Personal Message
As an only child, my mom was my best friend. I called her every single time I got into my car for the past 44 years. She was my greatest support in life and my biggest cheerleader who supported me in everything I did. She was “my person”, the one I always counted on and depended on, and her loss has shattered my world. Her granddaughters Laynie, Frankie and Gabi and I miss her beyond words. We miss her sarcasm and wit, her warm hugs, her ears always ready to listen, and her steady love and unending patience. She is my hero! She went through so much in life and still kept on going despite the challenges she faced. I will miss her every day of the rest of my life. I can hardly believe I have to live the rest of my life without her.
