Barbara Ellen Rose-Innes
About Barbara Ellen
Barbara was born in Shrewsbury. After graduating from Westfield College London University, she taught English in France, Weymouth and at King Alfreds School in Hamstead until she married Christopher, her husband for the next 65 years. She was also a gifted musician (Violin and Piano) and after a few years started teaching music in schools, as well as giving private lessons. She, along with Christopher, were great travellers, favouring less visited places. However, she was at her happiest tending the garden of her cottage in her favourite place, the South Shropshire Hills.
She was a life member of the National Trust, and supporter of the Woodland Trust and we are sure that she would appreciate being remembered by having a tree planted in the new wood at Runnymede.
