Ann's Accomplishments
Mum loved nature and helped inspire a love of the natural world in her children and grandchildren. She knew the names of many plants and flowers and supported the RSPB; watching and feeding the birds in her garden was a delight to her after retiring. A forest is not only about trees, it is about the wildlife that calls it home and flourishes there, she would have loved the concept. Trees are the lungs of the planet, and as she passed away due to COVID and pneumonia it seems apt that she would approve of any attempt to improve the oxygen for those of us who are left here.
A Personal Message
Ann was a loving wife to Graham, for 55 years, dearly beloved mother of two children Carol and David, daughter to Ellen ‘Nellie’ Williams, who remarried Sydney Foster. She was a fond sister of Helen, Ellen, Dawn and Leslie and sister-in-law and aunt to their spouses and children. She was daughter-in-law to Betty and Cyril Smith and sister-in-law and aunt to Veronica and Linda and their spouses and children. She was ‘sister’ to her Christian family and workmate and friend to many people during her 73 years of life. She was a good neighbour and volunteer, helping also with the youth club.
