About Amy
Amy was brought up in Twickenham, Middlesex, where she lived for much of her life, and where she and her husband Harry raised their four children: Charles, Marian, Cathy and Tricia. They moved to live in Devon after Harry retired. Her children and five grandchildren were the most important part of Amy’s life and they were a very close family. Even when Charles and Cathy moved abroad with their own families – to Australia and New Zealand respectively – they all tried to get together as often as possible. Amy was passionately interested in nature – and had an encyclopaedic knowledge of plants and wildflowers. She enjoyed walking and singing, especially with her family. She also loved animals and was particularly fond of cats.

A Personal Message
Amy’s father and my mother were in late middle age when they married – so she and I didn’t meet until we were adults with our own young families. Over the years, we became firm friends and regarded each other as beloved sisters – and of course we both gained a whole new set of lovely nephews and nieces. Amy was a always a joy to be with and we’re all missing her very much.
