A little about Alan:
Alan was a beloved Husband, wonderful Dad to 2 children and amazing Grandad to 5 lucky children.
He had been with our mum for 60 years, they met at 16 and 17, our mum is devasted, as you can imagine, he was her world.
Family was very important to him and we shared many many fabulous holidays, making lots of memories that we now cherish dearly.
His children and grandchildren are a testiment to him, we all hold his values and will endeavour to continue to make him proud and look after our devastated mum.
He finally officially retired at 72 after working as an Engineer – he did retire earlier but was missed and asked to help out, which he did as that was the kind of person Alan was.
He was fit and healthy and sadly lost his battle with Covid 30 days after testing positive on 26th January 2021, he was just 77 years young.
Personal short summary:
We are all missing you terribly – we just wish we could have had 5 more minutes with you to tell you how much we all love you.
You were our absolute world, our hero, our everything and nothing will fill the void that has been left.
We really thought you were going to beat this dreadful disease but someone else needed you more – they are the lucky ones.
Memory Trees is a free service but we need your support.
