Vera Joyce Waters (nee Day)
About Vera Joyce
Mom was born inBirmingham on 17 July 1928 and brought up by her parents in Acocks Green withher three sisters Beryl, Brenda and Hazel and her brother Gerald.
Her teenage years were defined by the 2 years spentevacuated in Wales, she loved her time there and it was her wish to returnthere to visit which she did several years ago.
After finishing school she attended Sparkhill CommercialCollege and worked as a secretary at an accountants for many years.
Cycling was a popular post war activity and Mum rode withher sister Brenda and friends.
It is while cycling that she met my father and theycelebrated 65 years of marriage in 2019.
Mum was involved for many years with Ladies Circle, and becamechair and also belonged to the Townswomenundefineds Guild.
Momundefineds great love was outdoor bowls, she enjoyed success withthe British Legion bowling team, winning several trophies.
She described these as undefinedwonderful yearsundefined and made manylifelong friends.
She also loved watching sport in particular tennis.
Dad passed away on 5 April 2020 and was joined by Mum on 7April 2020.

Vera Joyce's Accomplishments
The pandemic has not given us the opportunity to honour our loved ones as we would have wished. To be able to have a memory tree dedicated to my mother would be a permanent reminder of her life here on earth.
A Personal Message
She was a wonderful Mum who will leave a big hole in our
lives but we will fill the hole with all our happy memories.
