About Shaun
Shaun left behind two devastated daughters, Hannah and Tasha. They said goodbye to him over the phone as he was put in his coma, and held his hand when he died 42 nights later. Shaun always put them first and worked hard all his life to make sure they never went without. He is buried close to their home and they visit him every day without fail.
Shaun also left behind his Mum, Margaret. Sadly, Margaret died one month after her eldest son, Shaun, after contracting Covid-19 in her care home.

A Personal Message
Shaun Brady worked at HJ Heinz for 34 years. From the age of 17, in his spare time, he was an amateur referee for adult and junior local football, and from 2003 onwards ran and funded free football clubs at Primary Schools in Wigan for all ages, genders and abilities. In later life, he enjoyed baking and raising money for charities such as Dementia U.K. and Macmillan Cancer Research. Shaun was a keen traveller and in 2019 completed a European Tour, taking in 12 countries in 3 weeks.
Shaun contracted Covid before the start of the first U.K. national lockdown. He was a key worker and had no choice but to put himself at risk for the benefit of others. He spent 45 days in Hospital, 42 of those ventilated and in a coma. He died at 21:48 with his daughters by his side.
Shaun’s Brother David had Shaun as his best man in a difficult time in Shaun’s life, and supported and cared for Hannah and Tasha when Shaun was in Hospital, and now that he has passed away.
Shaun also had two other brothers, Stephen and Lee.
