Share You Memories of Neil
Dad lived in Staines as a child. He used to tell us the story of seeing a shot down German bomber in the war as a young boy and crying because he thought the red seats were covered in the pilot’s blood…but it turned out to be just the colour of the seats. Also in the Runnymeade area, Dad’s grandfather John was the Lock Keeper at Bell Weir Lock on the Thames and his uncle Basil is commemorated on the Air Forces Memorial, so it is fitting that Dad should have a memorial tree there.

So sorely missed by his Dad’s Army, but the love and memories live on… so who do you think you are kidding if you think England’s finest dad is done?
