He was always reliable, a wise ear, full of the greatest advice. He was understated and observant. He was always very perceptive. Knew what was going on, and what was what. Always listening and paying attention. He always knew how to say the right thing at the right time, from his wider perspective. He always had the big picture in mind. He was a rock-solid drummer. Straight down the line, no messing. A lot like he was as a Father. A solid rock, an anchor, always reliable and steadfast, always humble and encouraging, not just to his family, but to everyone he met.

A Personal Message
He and Wendy gave Josh, James and Hannah stability and security, and brought them up to be full of humour, to be unique and to do things well and they are so fortunate to have had a dad who was their best friend. He was so happy to have seen his children all settle in good marriages with his children-in-law Amy, Lucy and Matt and to see the next generation begin with his grandchildren Oliver & Thea. We are better off for having had the pleasure of his influence in our lives. He will never be forgotten.
