About Helen
My mum Helen, she was my best friend and loved by all, she was the kindest most loving mum anyone could ever have had. I was lucky and privileged to call her my mum. Everyone loved my mum and she loved everyone. You seriously could not meet a more kind, loving person than my mum.

A Personal Message
Mum worked for the Civil Service in London, she loved her job, including her commutes as it often meant she could go to her beloved shops after work, especially John Lewis, her favorite shop. Mum loved her work but after having me in 1974 and then my sister in 1976 she wanted to dedicate her life to my sister and me until we were old enough for nursery and school.
Mum already had many hobbies including reading, dressmaking and knitting but decided to go back to night school to learn upholstery, including making curtains, cushions, reupholstering sofas, chairs and furniture. She could make anything and everything. We had the best costumes for parties etc as well as saving a small fortune cushions and curtains when we moved into our own homes as she made them for us. We were so lucky to have mum and her talents, she was so clever.
Dad died in 2012 from cancer and she missed him every day.
Following a very short illness with Covid-19 my mum died in Lewisham hospital on 25th March 2020. It’s so unfair, she didn’t go out but caught it from a district nurse who did not have PPE. We love and miss her so much.
My mum is now together with my dad Nick, her husband and her parents May and John. They are all resting peacefully in a cemetery in London.
My mum was loved and is greatly missed by us all, including my sister and I. Emma’s children, Nicole, Luke and Grace and dad and mum’s beloved cat, Sam. She always worried what would happen to Samcat, but he’s safe, well and spoilt living with my partner and I, she didn’t need to worry he would always be well cared for and loved.

My dad died in 2012 and my mum missed him every day, she is now together with my dad and her parents sleeping peacefully together.
My mum had lots of friends from her days of interior designing and there’s not one person who does not miss my mum, she was loved by all and she loved everyone.
My mum was everyone’s best friend and our hearts are shattered by what has happened, she is missed every single second of every single day.
