A Personal Message
Christopher travelled around the world, possibly twice. He stood on guard at Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London. After the army, he worked in a Steel factory until he retired. He loved the outdoors, clay pigeon shooting, beating and target shooting. He loved his family and his food especially my mums Greek cooking. He was hard working would mend and fix, try his hand at DIY, even fix the car if he could.
Me and our daughter miss Christopher terribly, we love him so much. Although he had illnesses in the last 5 years of his life which changed his personality and outlook we took on the changes and cared for him in a different way. Sometimes he was his usual self and other times he was grumpy. As he became more confused we thought it was a decline in his illness but he was admitted to the hospital. Fully expecting to fetch him home that evening he remained in the hospital for 10days during which time we never saw him again. We will never get over not being allowed to be with him when he needed us most. Such an agonising time for us all this brutal Covid19.
