Dagenham, Essex

Tom was born in Mullingar, Co. West Meath, Ireland where he lived until he came to the South of London in the 1970’s. He was such a happy man and everybody’s friend; to know him was to live him. He was honest and hardworking and looked after us all so well.

My wonderful husband was the most loving and caring man you could ever wish to meet. He loved me, his daughters and his grandchildren more than life itself and was so proud of us all.
Our wedding day, 43 years ago was the best day of our lives and we were always so happy. It broke my heart the day he died – even the postman cried that day. He will be missed by so many people.

We were not allowed a proper goodbye; no hugs or kisses – this broke our hearts. We will never get to do that ever again or hear him telling us how much he loves us or his funny, silly jokes that made us laugh until we cried. Or see that lovely smile or the way he crinkled his nose at me, letting me know how much he cared. He was the love of my life. I loved him with all my heart and I always will. I was so proud of him and proud to be his wife. I will miss him so much forever. Our lives will never be the same without him in it.

Love you Tom.
