Dad was a civil engineer working as head of the main drainage for Blackpool Council from aged 16 to his retirement. He loved the Lake District and spent much of his free time fell walking with his family. Animals and nature were very important to him and he and Mum had many dogs cats and budgies over the years.

My Dad was my hero. He was the kindest loveliest man you could meet. A real family man. He left behind me and my brother Mike (who also very sadly died of Covid November 2020) father in law to Fiona Grandchildren Joe Rachael Caroline Katherine and Stephanie and great-grandchildren Francesca Rose Tommy and Arthur. The hole in our hearts will never heal. Miss You Dad
