20/01/1940 – 16/04/2020

Hitchin, Hertfordshire

John was a loving Dad to Sioux and Jaki, Grandad Beard to Georgie, Poppy, Jack, Amber, Zak and Todd, Great Grandad Beard to Audrey and Johan.

He was the kindest, intelligent gentleman with a wicked sense of humour and always had a twinkle in his eye. He was always happiest at the keyboard. He could play anything he’d heard once. He also played the guitar, accordion and harmonica. He was a keen photographer too taking cine films and slides. He joined the RAF as an instrument fitter and loved planes often volunteering at air shows.
His childhood was spent in Brighton and he travelled all over Europe in RAF. He spent many years in The Netherlands before settling in Hitchin.

A dedicated memory tree means so much as his daughter and some of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren couldn’t say goodbye. The covid restrictions didn’t allow this as they are in Australia.

We love him and miss him so much until we meet again xx

Dedicate a tree in the Forest of Memories for a loved one lost because of Covid-19.
