Charlie was a man of many talents of which making and repairing things was one and DIY another.
He loved anything to do with trains, particularly steam engines and spent the majority of his working life in the railway. This love extended into his hobbies of building model railway layouts, watercolour painting and photography. He took “early retirement” from the railway in 2005 and did have various jobs after that including being an agency delivery driver, working at Royal Mail and latterly driving excavators.
He also enjoyed reading and playing in the dominoes league of his local pub.
Charlie is greatly missed by me, his sons Chas and John and their families and stepdaughter Jillian. Very sadly Charlie did not get to meet his newest grandson born in May 2020.
