Carole was a well-known person in her community running the local village shop for over 20 years with her late husband Stan. She was incredibly hard working until she was sadly diagnosed with an aneurysm for which she had to go through major surgery over 25 years ago. She was proud to be a Londoner and never forgot her roots, although loved being in the countryside or by the sea.
Mum was the bravest and strongest woman I know! If myself and my daughters can take those qualities from her we will be a force to be reckoned with. I miss her every single day, as do her 2 granddaughters. She fought so hard to recover after her surgery 25 years ago, yet Covid took her in less than two weeks. Our only comfort is that she is safely back in the arms of dad, which is where she wanted to be after losing him in 2017. She will remain in our hearts forever #loveforthelost
Mum started to lose her eyesight, but could always see the trees when we went out in the car. Trees used to make her feel calm, and she loved their ever-changing colours through the seasons.
