Ken joined the Metropolitan Police in 1964, having completed an apprenticeship as a coach builder in Perth. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in various roles as he rose through the ranks. Upon retiring he joined the Gambling Commission which he also enjoyed, he always made the most of every opportunity.in his leisure time he was a great sportsman, playing football in his day and then took up bowling which he was very active in. Being Club President for many years.
Ken was a huge charismatic character, loved and respected by all his family and friends. Our lives are sadder and emptier without him, he truly was the life and soul of us all. My life now has this massive hole in it, the love and friendship we enjoyed has been taken away. I have felt broken by my loss. He was a wonderful husband, brother, Dad, step-Dad and fantastic Grandad to our grandchildren.
