22/11/1952 – 24/04/2020
Worked in Telecommunications for 36 years before working in education both in primary and secondary settings helping both pupils and staff. Remembered for his smile and willingness to help others. Would tackle most tasks. His favourite gift from his colleagues was a plaque that read ‘If Jack can’t fix it, no one can’. Ran a small club for 20 + years and always looked out for its members and always made sure it was inclusive to all. He put others before himself and through no fault of his own paid the ultimate price.
Sadly missed by our Son, Daughter in law and our two Granddaughters (whom he couldn’t bear to be separated from and them him). His older sister Veronica, younger Brother Peter and various family members who were close to him. Also, many friends and colleagues with whom he met throughout his lifetime. Jack, you have left a massive void in my heart. For 44 years you were half of my whole. My soulmate, protector and rock. The person I opened my eyes too and the last I saw before I slept. I will miss you forever but thank you for loving me and making me your wife. I’m sorry that our future together was snatched away so cruelly and without time to say goodbye.
