My father was a hard-working, countryman who was one of 7 children. He completed national service in the army and went on to marry Sheila and had two daughters and a son. He also had two granddaughters who he adored and spent much of his retirement with them. And two sons-in-law.
We miss Charlie for his wicked sense of humour he was fun and always ready to help anyone out. He had a zest for life and no matter how hard things got he always looked on the bright side. He was a brave man and I know he fought hard to beat covid with the same courage he had in life. With age and dementia against him, this was sadly one battle he didn’t win and had to fight alone which we will never forget.
